Privacy Policy

The short version. Images you choose from your device are analysed entirely inside your own browser. They are never uploaded to us, never stored, and never logged. We don't run tracking cookies or ad networks.

1. Images you analyse

When you drop in or select an image, the file is read and scored locally by a model running in your browser. The image data does not leave your device and is never transmitted to our servers. When you close or reload the page, it is gone from memory. We have no copy and no way to recover it.

2. The one exception: pasting a link

If instead of a file you paste a URL — to an image or to a page — your browser first tries to fetch it directly. When a website blocks that (a common cross-origin restriction), we retrieve the resource through a third-party public proxy so the check can still run. In that case the URL you pasted is sent to that proxy in order to fetch the content; a private file from your computer is never involved. If you would rather nothing about a link be shared with a proxy, download the image and analyse the file instead.

3. Information we do collect

• Contact messages. If you use the contact form, the name, email and message you submit are sent to our form provider (Web3Forms) and forwarded to us by email, so we can reply. We use them only for that purpose.
• Standard server logs. Our host (Cloudflare) processes basic request data such as IP address and user-agent to serve the site securely and prevent abuse, as is normal for any website.

4. Cookies and tracking

We do not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we don't embed third-party analytics or ad scripts. The tool may keep small, non-identifying preferences in your browser's local storage on your device; that data stays local and is never sent to us.

5. Third-party services

• Cloudflare — hosting and content delivery for the site and the detector's model files.
• Google Fonts — the site loads the Inter typeface from Google's font CDN, which may log the request (including IP) to serve the file.
• Web3Forms — processes contact-form submissions on our behalf.
• Public fetch proxy — used only for the link-pasting case described in section 2.

Each operates under its own privacy policy. We don't sell or rent any personal data to anyone.

6. Data retention

We keep contact-form emails only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any reasonable follow-up. We hold no database of analysed images because we never receive them.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete the personal data we hold — in practice, the contents of any message you've sent us. Email hello@bestaiimagedetector.com and we'll help.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.

9. Changes

We may update this policy; the “last updated” date above always reflects the current version. Material changes will be made clear here.
